基于YOLOv8的多功能导盲系统设计
Design of YOLOv8-based multifunctional guidance system for the blind
摘要
Abstract
The population of the blind individuals in China is large.However,there is a lack of effective and affordable means of guiding the blind,so it is difficult to ensure their safety when they traveling.In view of this,a multifunctional guidance system based on the Raspberry Pi 4B is designed for the blind.The system is capable of obstacle detection and recognition,pedestrian navigation and remote positioning,and voice broadcasting.It integrates ultrasonic sensors and cameras,utilizing a visual object detection algorithm based on YOLOv8 for obstacle detection and recognition.The GPS module facilitates pedestrian navigation and remote positioning,allowing family members to query the blind individual's location in real time,thereby ensuring their travel safety.Additionally,all guidance instructions are provided by voice broadcasting to assist the blind,enhancing the system usability.The test results demonstrate that the proposed system can detect obstacles within four meters and recognize fifteen kinds of common obstacles with high detection precision and recognition accuracy.The system also shows reliable path planning and positioning capabilities.To sum up,the proposed system can meet the safety requirements for guidance.关键词
