Abstract
This paper proposes a design scheme of DDS fast frequency hopping reference source based on FPGA.A reference source is designed with a high-stability Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator(OCXO),a small integrated PLL chip LMX2572,and a high-performance DDS chip AD9956 as the core,and the DDS reference source is used to drive a high-frequency broadband frequency synthesizer based on a PLL.The principle of the DDS reference source is introduced,and the generation of a reference signal with a frequency range of 50~100 MHz,a frequency resolution less than 0.005 Hz,a frequency switching time shorter than 60 ns,and a single-sideband phase noise less than-120 dBc/Hz@1 kHz is achieved.The DDS reference source designed by this scheme not only has the advantages of high frequency resolution,low phase noise,small size,and low power consumption,but also can perform fast frequency hopping in three modes including single-tone,no-dwell linear sweep,and linear sweep.关键词
