Abstract

As renewable energy units continue to occupy the space of traditional synchronous units,the frequency characteristics of the system are increasingly limited by the frequency regulation performance of renewable energy stations.However,due to the differences in frequency regulation architecture and technical means,the frequency regulation delay of different stations is quite different,and the relationship between system frequency characteristics and frequency regulation delay is fuzzy.In this paper,the frequency characteristics of the power system including the frequency regulation delay of the renewable energy station are analyzed.On the basis of describing the typical structure and control mechanism of frequency regulation control,the components of the response delay time are revealed.Then,the response delay time is added into the fast frequency regulation control model of renewable energy power stations as a delay link,and first-order Taylor and Pade are used to equivalently represent the delay link and quantify the error,and the applicable range of the two equivalent methods is clarified.By exploring the aggregation equivalence rules of frequency regulation of renewable energy units,a simplified aggregation model of frequency regulation of generating units taking into account the frequency regulation model,the influence of frequency control delay of renewable energy stations is formed.Finally,the proposed model is verified by hardware in loop test platform,and based on the proposed time domain analytical regulation delay on the frequency characteristics of power system is analyzed from the inertia level,the proportion of new energy generation and the standby resources of synchronous machine frequency regulation.The test results show that the frequency characteristics obtained by the proposed power system frequency response model are in good agreement with the actual results,and the frequency characteristics analysis conclusion of the proposed model is reliable,which provides a theoretical reference for the formulation of rapid frequency regulation technical indicators and evaluation schemes of renewable energy stations.
