摘要

Abstract

A new salicylic acid derivative(Z)-5-((1,3-dihydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)propan-2-ylimino)methyl-2-hydroxybenzoic acid(Tris-SA)was synthesized through the condensation reaction of 5-formylsalicylic acid with tris(hydroxymethyl)-aminomethane and was utilized for the colorimetric recognition of Fe3+in complex systems.Tris-SA exhibits good water solubility and no absorption in the visible light region.Upon the addition of Fe3+,a new absorption peak appears at 500 nm and the solution color changes from colorless to purple-red.Based on the linear relationship between the intensity of the absorption spectrum at 500 nm and the concentration of Fe3+,the detection limit was determined to be 3.421×10-6 mol/L.The influence of different pH values and the presence of metal ions on the Fe3+recognition capability of Tris-SA was also studied,and the performance of Tris-SA in recognizing Fe3+was compared with that of commercial indicators salicylic acid and sulfosalicylic acid.
