Abstract

In this study,a digital identification method based on Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry(GC-MS),and intelligent interpretation software of fingerprint spectrum similarity was established.Under the selective ion monitoring(SIM)mode,the response intensities of 86 individual biomarkers were determined,and relationships between field and suspected oil spill samples were clarified through similarities of cosine and entropy.With the above-mentioned method,oil spill samples collected from sea surface and beach in"7·16 Dalian Oil Pipeline Explosion Accident"were well sourced through comparison with 80 samples from national marine crude oil library.However,similarity between crude oil and oil spill samples weakened with the prolonged weathering period.Similarities of cosine and entropy varied from 93.1%-98.9%and 96.8%-99.3%and 95.1%-96.9%and 96.5%-98.8%for a 9-day weathering period of sea oil spillage and a 210-day weathering period of beach oil spillage,respectively.This indicates that threshold values of compliance assessment for short-term weathered sea oil spillage and long-term weathered beach oil spillage are 93%-100%and 95%-100%,respectively.
