Effect of multi-functional bio-organic fertilizer on improving alkaline soil of citrus orchards

Abstract
To investigate the effects of multifunctional bio-organic fertilizer on the soil,tree,and fruit quality of citrus orchards with alkaline soils of limestone deposits,and to clarify the effect of applying multifunctional bio-organic fertilizer on improvement of alkaline soil of citrus orchards,and to increase the fruit yield and quality of alkaline soil citrus orchards,treatments of single application of chemical fertilizer(compound fertilizer),single application of ordinary organic fertilizer(composted manure),and application of chemical fertilizer combined with multifunctional bio-organic fertilizer were carried out for two consecutive years to measure the soil physical and chemical properties,tree nutrition status and fruit quality.The correlation analysis was conducted.The results showed that compared with applying only chemical fertilizers,after applying bio-organic fertilizer in combination with chemical fertilizer,the soil pH value was significantly decreased from 7.76 to 6.92,and the content of available iron in the soil was increased from 15.40 mg/kg to 77.20 mg/kg,with the significant increase in the contents of water-soluble nitrogen,available phosphorus,available potassium,organic matter,and various trace elements of the soil,as well as the contents of potassium,iron,and boron of the leaves,while the single fruit weight,soluble solids content,titratable acid content,and acid-soluble ratio of the fruits were also significantly increased,and the titratable acid content was significantly decreased.The results of the correla-tion analysis indicate,the single fruit weight,peel thickness,soluble solids content,titratable acid content,and acid-soluble ratio were greatly affected by soil physical and chemical properties,while the fruit shape index,edible rate,and juice yield were less affected by soil physical and chemical properties.The correlation between leaf trace elements and fruit quality was significant,and the soil pH value had a great impact on the absorption of trace elements by the tree.关键词
