Research on the Thermal Modeling and Temperature Distribution Characteristics of the Aircraft Self-ventilated Wound Rotor Synchronous Generator

Abstract
The aircraft self-ventilated wound rotor synchronous generator(WRSG)exhibits significant loss differences between each stage of the generator and a long heat dissipation path.This results in a large temperature distribution gradient,which is prone to local overheating.It is necessary to model and study the thermal characteristics.To address this,the fluid-solid coupling thermal modeling method under multi-physics field of the WRSG is studied.A comparative analysis is conducted on the influence of different mesh types on the efficiency of numerical computations in the fluid field.Subsequently,based on the Realizable k-ε model,the heat dissipation capacity of the fan in WRSG and the influence of multi-stage structure on airflow state are explored.The detailed frictional resistance of each rotating component is analyzed.Considering the influence of multiturn winding end insulation on thermal conductivity,a secondary equivalent method is proposed for the three-dimensional cylindrically anisotropic modeling of windings.The temperature field model is established to study the temperature rise characteristics under different operating conditions.Analyze the temperature distribution pattern and its influencing factors of the WRSG from various aspects such as different stages generators,stators and rotors,and different operating conditions.Finally,a temperature rise experiment is conducted for verification.The research results provide targeted guidance for the cooling design of the WRSG.The research theory can also be applied to the thermal modeling of other electric machines.关键词
