Effect of Transurethral Vaporization of Prostate on the Prostateon Urodynam-ics and Sexual Function in Patients with Moderate to Severe Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of transurethral vaporization of prostate on the prostateon urodynamics and sexual function in patients with moderate to severe benign prostatic hyperplasia.Methods 96 patients with moderate to severe BPH in our hospital from June 2022 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 48 patients in each group.The control group underwent TUPKEP,while the observation group underwent TUVP.The perioperative indicators,urodynamics,quality of life scores,and complication rates at 3-month follow-up were compared between the two groups.Results The operation time,catheterization time,and hospitalization duratio of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group,and the intraoperative bleeding volume was less than that of the control group(P＜0.05).At 3 months post-follow-up,both groups showed an increase in MUCP and Qmax,and a reduction in RUV,with the improvement being more pronounced in the observation group(P＜0.05).At 3 months post-follow-up,sexual function recovery was better in the observation group than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The quality of life scores in both groups were higher than those in preoperatively,with the observation group having significantly higher scores than the control group(P＜0.05).The overall complication rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions TUVP for patients with moderate to severe BPH can shorten the operation time,reduce the amount of bleeding,effectively control urination,improve bladder function and sexual function,improve the quality of life,and reduce the occurrence of complications.关键词
