Introduction and observation of several extremely early maturing satsuma mandarins such as Oita 4 in southern Shaanxi Province

Abstract
In recent years,during promoting the transformation of old orchards and optimizing the variety structure in citrus pro-duction areas in southern Shaanxi,extremely early maturing satsuma varieties such as Oita 4,Hinoakebono,and Yura etc.have been introduced successively.Pilot test and regional trial were carried out by top-grafting to observe and analyze phenological pe-riods,botanical traits,economic traits,stress resistance,etc.Oita 4 satsuma mandarin had good comprehensive characteristics,with advantages of early maturing,high and stable yield,and good quality.It could be used as the main recommended variety for adjusting the variety structure in the citrus production area in southern Shaanxi.Hinoakebono satsuma mandarin showed excellent characters of keeping fruit on the tree and for fully matured cultivation in southern Shaanxi,and it is suitable for fully mature cultiva-tion in facility.The comprehensive performance of Yura is less than Hinoakebono with unstable quality.It is not suitable for large-scale of development.关键词
