A dataset of soil erosion assessment for the karst peak-cluster depression ecosystem in southwestern Guangxi based on corrections for desertification and soil loss tolerance

Abstract
Studying the intensity of soil erosion across different spatio-temporal scales in karst areas is of great significance for maintaining ecological balance and preventing land degradation.In this study,we modified the soil erosion model in southwestern Guangxi based on desertification factors and soil loss tolerance.The results can help scientifically formulate soil and water conservation strategies and support regional sustainable development.This dataset includes soil erosion and desertification data in southwestern Guangxi from 2000 to 2020.These data are estimated using the RUSLE model modified by desertification,based on multi-source data such as remote sensing,meteorology,geography,and soil in southwestern Guangxi,and then corrected by soil loss tolerance,which can accurately represent the soil erosion results in southwestern Guangxi from 2000 to 2020.To ensure data reliability and accuracy,quality control was conducted from both data source and model calculation.It can provide a valuable scientific foundation for assessing soil erosion changes and ecosystem service changes in the karst ecosystems of southwestern Guangxi.关键词
