Digital technology use,socialized service access and farmers' adoption of rice-crayfish culturing model
摘要
Abstract
To clarify the impact of digital technology use,socialized service access on the adoption of agroecological technologies by farmers,this study investigates the impact and mechanism of the use of digital technology on farmers' choice of rice-crayfish culturing model by utilizing data from 880 micro-farmer surveys in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.The research finds that:Digital technology use has a significant contribution to farmers' choice of rice-crayfish culturing model,and the higher the frequency of using digital technology to obtain information related to agricultural production,the greater the likelihood that farmers will choose the rice-crayfish culturing model.After solving the endogeneity problem with the help of conditional mixture(CMP)modeling and combining it with the instrumental variables approach,consistent conclusions can still be obtained.Mechanism analysis shows that the use of digital technology mainly promotes the selection of rice-crayfish culturing model by improving the social services provided by farmers.By subdividing the social service links,it is found that the use of digital technology has a greater impact on farmers' access to labor-intensive related services.Further analysis reveals that the use of digital technology has a more significant promoting effect on the selection behavior of rice-crayfish culturing model among production-oriented farmers,as well as participating households in agricultural technology training.The study provides micro-evidence for understanding the intrinsic logical relationship between digital technology use,the acquisition of socialization services and farmers' choice of rice-shrimp cropping model,as well as new lessons for targeted promotion of the organic integration of digital technology and green agricultural development.关键词
