Professor WANG Suxia's clinical experience in treating infertility in polycystic ovary syndrome by the method of"staging-modulating-targeting"

Abstract
Polycystic ovary syndrome is a complex and heterogeneous disease involving multiple systems,with menstrual disorders,hyperandrogenemia,ovulation disorders,and polycystic ovary changes as the main clinical features,and is the main cause of infertility or recurrent spontaneous abortion in women of reproductive age.For infertility in polycystic ovary syndrome,ovulation promotion,endocrine adjustment,and assisted reproduction techniques are mainly used to treat the disease in modern medicine,but there are adverse reactions such as high ovulation and low pregnancy,ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome,which bring great psychological burden to patients.Professor WANG Suxia believes that this disease starts with kidney deficiency and irregular menstruation,followed by dysfunction of internal organs,disorders of Qi(气)and blood,lack of nourishment of uterus,and stagnation of follicles.In addition,it was accompanied by depression,phlegm,and blood stasis,followed by hypertrichosis,acne,insulin resistance and other manifestations.For this disease,Professor WANG Suxia divides it into follicular phase,ovulation phase,luteal phase,and menstrual phase according to the transformation of Yin(阴)and Yang(阳),and three states of depression,phlegm,and blood stasis according to the pathogenic characteristics of the disease,organically combining the menstrual cycle,disease state and micro-targets.The targets are understood from the perspectives of traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern medicine,so as to flexibly apply medicines by the method of"staging-modulating-targeting"to regulate the disordered menstruation,and rectify the depression,phlegm,and blood stasis deviation,control a variety of targets,achieving the purposes of menstruation as scheduled,the equilibrium state of body,and pregnancy.关键词
