摘要

Abstract

Mosquitoes are small insects belonging to the Culicidae family of the Diptera order,widely distributed around the world.Mosquitoes are vectors for many diseases,with the famous Dengue fever in Xishuangbanna being transmitted through mosquito bites.This article reviews the research progress of Light Emitting Diode(LED)mosquito killing technology and its potential application in controlling mosquito-borne infectious diseases.With the development of LED technology,researchers have explored the use of specific wavelength LED light to attract and kill mosquitoes that carry viruses,thereby reducing the chances of virus transmission.Researches have shown that LED light of different wavelengths has varying levels of attraction to mosquitoes.By optimizing the design of LED light sources,mosquito elimination efficiency can be effectively improved.In addition,combining physical or chemical methods,such as setting up traps or using biological insecticides,can further enhance the effectiveness of LED mosquito control devices.However,LED mosquito control technology is still in the development stage,and more field trials are needed to verify its long-term effectiveness and environmental adaptability.Future research should focus on improving the selectivity of LED light sources and reducing energy consumption,to promote the practical application of this technology in the prevention and control of mosquito-borne diseases.
