Discussion on Using Theory of"Fei Governs All Vessels"to Prevent and Treat Tumor Metastasis Based on"Platelets-Circulating Tumor Cells"

Abstract
Metastasis of malignant tumors is the leading cause of cancer-related mortality.In recent years,studies have revealed that circulating tumor cells(CTCs)play a pivotal role in this process.Targeting CTCs presents a novel perspective for preventing and treating cancer metastasis.Drawing upon the core biological interactions between platelets and CTCs,along with recent discoveries that the lungs function as a site of platelet biogenesis,this paper aims to explore the potential linkage between the classical Chinese medicine(CM)concept that"Fei governs all vessels"and the roles of platelets,CTCs,and tumor metastasis.According to this CM principle,a therapeutic approach of tonifying Fei and invigorating the blood is proposed to restore Fei's function of"governing all vessels",disrupt platelet-CTCs interactions,and reduce CTCs burden,thereby impeding metastatic dissemination.This integrative strategy presents a new perspective for using CM in the prevention and treatment of metastatic disease.关键词
