Abstract

In this study,(1-x)BS-xBB single-phase solid solution ceramics have been successfully prepared by doping 0.85BaTiO3-0.15Bi(Mg2/3Nb1/3)O3(abbreviated as BB)relaxant into 0.65Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-0.35SrTiO3(abbreviated as BS)ceramics using the solid-phase reaction method,in order to improve the breakdown electric field(Eb)and optimize the dielectric relaxation behavior of the BNT-based lead-free relaxor ferroelectric ceramics.XRD characterizations show that the fabricated(1-x)BS-xBB ceramics with different composition ratios exhibit a single perovskite structure.SEM images show that the addition of BB results in a decrease in the average grain size of the ceramics and a reduction in porosity.Moreover,doping with BB effectively reduces the dielectric constant(εr)and improves the dielectric-temperature stability of the ceramics.The temperature stability of 0.88BS-0.12BB ceramics complies with the EIA Z9R standard.In addition,the 0.88BS-0.12BB ceramics exhibit high discharge density(Wdis)of 1.88 J/cm3 and short charge/discharge time(t0.9)of 64.2 ns under the applied electric field of 210 kV/cm,the good charging and discharging performances indicate that 0.88BS-0.12BB ceramics can be applied as a potential candidate for pulse capacitors.
