Abstract
In order to investigate the effects of exogenous DCPTA(2-(3,4-dichlorophenoxy)triethylamine)on chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics and antioxidant enzyme activities in tomato seedlings under low temperature and subsequent recovery to normal temperature,L-403 tomato variety was used as material,then seedlings at the four-leaf and one-heart stage were sprayed with 0,10,30,and 50 mg/L DCPTA,respectively,and then subjected to low-temperature treatment at 5(L)/5(D)℃for 2 days,followed by recovery to normal temperature at 25(L)/18(D)℃for 2 days.Chlorophyll content,photochemical quantum yield(ΦPSⅡ),maximum photochemical efficiency of PSⅡ(Fv/Fm),and activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),and catalase(CAT)were measured on the second day of low temper-ature treatment and the second day of recovery to normal temperature.The results showed that application of 10,30,and 50 mg/L DCPTA had no significant effects on chlorophyll content,ΦPSⅡ,and CAT activity under low-temperature conditions.However,10 and 50 mg/L DCPTA significantly increased Fv/Fm and SOD activity,while 30 and 50 mg/L DCPTA significantly inhibited POD activity.After recovery to normal temperature,10 mg/L DCPTA significantly enhanced POD activity.The study concluded that 10 mg/L DCPTA could improve Fv/Fm and SOD activity in tomato seedlings under low temperature stress and enhance POD activity after recovery to normal temperature.关键词
