Research on the Large Strain Electro-mechanical Properties of Elastic Conductive Knitted Fabrics

Abstract
In order to investigate the electro-mechanical properties of elastic conductive knitted fabrics under large strain range stretching,silver plated nylon/spandex core spun yarn was used to weave plain weft knitted fab-rics,and their conductivity and sensing properties were tested.The results indicated that the resistance of con-ductive knitted fabrics with different numbers of rows and columns met the classical hexagonal resistance model.Due to the coil structure,there were significant differences in the tensile electro-mechanical properties of elastic conductive knitted fabrics in both horizontal and vertical directions.When stretched horizontally,the resistance of the fabric always maintained an increasing trend to varying degrees with the tensile strain;in terms of vertical stretching,the fabric resistance firstly increased,then decreased,and finally slightly rebounded.The elastic con-ductive knitted fabrics prepared had excellent sensing properties in both horizontal and vertical directions,espe-cially when the vertical tensile strain was less than 16%,the average sensitivity was as high as 87.97,and the linearity was greater than 0.9.The resistance variation deviation and the hysteresis error of the fabric under con-tinuous large strain stretching were small,and the repeatability was good.The research provided theoretical and technical support for optimizing conductive knitted fabric sensors,which would contribute to the development of more excellent knitted flexible sensors.关键词
