Abstract

To address the complexity of the acid/reactive dye two-bath dyeing process for nylon/cotton inter-woven fabrics,the short process dyeing technology was investigated.By analyzing the influence of process condi-tions on dyeing effects of short process,the optimal parameters were determined as follows:Lanaset black B 1.27%owf,RWN reactive black 4.83%owf,ED-3B reactive red 0.1%owf,ED reactive yellow 0.1%owf,penetrant XRS 1%owf,sodium sulfate 80 g/L,and acetic acid 2 g/L.The process involved:initial dyeing at room temperature,gradual heating to 98℃,maintaining 98℃for 30 min,cooling to 60℃,batch-wise addi-tion of sodium carbonate(20 g/L),fixation of reactive dyes at 60℃for 50 min,followed by washing and soa-ping.Results indicated that compared with traditional dyeing process,the dyed fabric with the short process tech-nology achieved higher K/S value and excellent color fastness,which improved efficiency and reduced resource consumption and pollutant emissions.
