Prediction and Its Application of Fault-Controlled Fractured-Vuggy Reservoirs in Maokou Formation in Luzhou Area

Abstract
In the structural syncline area of Luzhou,industrial gas flow has been obtained from wells deployed near the faults of the Maokou Formation,indicating that the fault-controlled karst reservoirs developed along the faults have significant exploration and development potential.However,the scale of the fault-karst solution in this region is small and the seismic characteristics are not obvious,making it difficult to achieve the effective portrayal of the fault-karst solution by using the conventional prediction method.To address the prediction of fault-controlled frac-tured-vuggy reservoirs in the study area,a technical approach based on the coherence structure tensor for delinea-ting small-scale fault-controlled karst bodies is proposed.Firstly,the gradient structure tensor is utillized to inscribe the fractured solution on the basis of the enhanced coherent fault detection,and the boundary of the fault-karst is determined according to the reservoir location,interpreted by logging,and the occurrence of venting leakage.Sec-ondly,waveform impedance inversion is used to predict the fault-karst reservoirs according to the constraint bounda-ries.Finally,the spatial morphology of the fractured-solution reservoir is demonstrated by means of 3D sculpting technology.关键词
