Abstract

The connection structure between floating modules has an important effect on the motion response of multi-module structures under wave action and the mooring force.Therefore,physical model experiments are conducted on the interaction between waves and moored floating body structures composed of two modules.The effect of inter module connection stiffness on the motion response and mooring force is compared,and two types of floating bodies mooring stiffness are considered.In the experiment,tension springs are used to simulate the connection structure between modules,and the stiffness of different connection structures is simulated by changing the stiffness of the springs.The results show that changing the connection stiffness can significantly change the amplitude of the pitch motion of the structure,but it has less effect on the surge and heave motion of the structure.The experimental results can provide reference for the design of connections between multi-modules.
