摘要

Abstract

Chronic wounds(e.g.,diabetic foot ulcers,venous ulcers and pressure injuries)have emerged as a significant public health concern,characterized by complex pathogenesis and limited therapeutic efficacy.Recent studies demonstrate that cellular senescence plays a pivotal role in non-healing processes where senescent cells continuously secrete senescence-associated secretory phenotype factors,triggering a"senescence cascade"that disrupts the wound microenvironment.In the context of diabetes,advanced age and venous return disorder,keratinocytes,fibroblasts and immune cells can undergo senescence,leading to persistent inflammation and impaired tissue remodeling.Targeting this mechanism,senolytic drugs to eliminate senescent cells and mesenchymal stem cell therapy to rejuvenate the senescent microenvironment have emerged as key research focuses.Fetal dermal mesenchymal stem cells exhibit unique advantages in senescence delay,immune regulation and wound healing promotion.This review explores the pathological mechanisms of cellular senescence in chronic wounds,current intervention strategies and clinical translation prospects,highlighting the combining senescence-targeted interventions with regenerative technologies to advance precision therapies for chronic wounds.
