摘要

Abstract

This paper aims to advance interdisciplinary general education in medical-engineering fields to broaden students'knowledge,foster cross-disciplinary integration,enhance course evaluation systems,and cultivate well-rounded talents with medical literacy.While general education holds great potential for promoting multidisciplinary integration,current challenges in the systematic and scientific design of courses,as well as in evaluation systems,require urgent attention to prevent courses from becoming superficial and to achieve the goal of nurturing comprehensive talents.This study focuses on the development of the general education course"Introduction to Cancer Biology",addressing three key aspects:target audience,teaching methods,and evaluation systems.The course adopts a flexible design tailored to students'academic backgrounds,optimizing content to inspire innovation and research interest.A diverse teaching model centered on students combines various instructional methods with integrated online and offline resources.Furthermore,a multi-dimensional evaluation system is established to accurately assess learning outcomes and teaching quality.By imple menting these strategies,the paper aims to optimize course content,innovate teaching methods,and propose a systematic framework for general education development,providing actionable insights for advancing interdisciplinary general education in engineering-focused universities.
