Research on Hybrid Finite Element Method Based on Triangle Mesh and Its Application in Fluid-heat Coupled Calculation of Transformer

Abstract
In case of analyzing the fluid-heat coupling of transformer by using the least squares finite element meth-od and the windward finite element method,the least squares finite element method needs using the quadrilateral meshes for the fluid field calculation.However,for the transformer model with complex structures such as corner rings and rounded corners,the use of only quadrilateral meshes for analysis will often cause the phenomenon of mesh distortion and,at this time,the fluid field cannot be calculated by the least squares finite element method.In order to improve the applicability range of the hybrid finite element method,a method to realize the hybrid finite element based on the triangular mesh is proposed in this paper,namely,the triangular mesh is processed to a quadrilateral one to realize the calculation of the fluid field and the temperature field.For verifying the effectiveness of the pro-posed method,the hybrid finite element method is used in this paper to calculate the fluid-thermal coupling of the sin-gle-partition model and the converter transformer winding model with such complex structures as angle rings and electrostatic rings,and is compared with the simulation result of Fluent software.The analysis results show that the processing method proposed in this paper can realize the fluid-heat coupling calculation of the transformer with com-plex structure and improve further the ability of the hybrid finite element method to solve the fluid-heat coupling problem of the transformer with complex structure.关键词
