摘要

Abstract

Although the plunger-type wavemaker has many applications,the theory of plunger-type cnoidal wave generation is still lacking because of the complex plunger geometry and cnoidal wave theory.On the basis of the conservation between the change in the immersion volume of the plunger and the volume of the generated wave,the motion equations of a wedge-shaped plunger under given wave parameters were derived,and wave-making con-straints were proposed.A numerical wave flume was then established using the smoothed particle hydrodynamics method.After accuracy validation and convergence analysis,the motion of the wedge-shaped plunger and the gen-eration of cnoidal waves were simulated.Comparisons between numerical and analytical results showed that cnoidal waves with target waveforms,pressures,and flow velocities could be produced within a distance of 0.5 wave-lengths,verifying the reliability of the derived wave-making theory.
