Effects of Combined Application of Slow and Controlled Release Fertilizers on the Growth,Development,and Quality of Flue-Cured Tobacco:A Case Study of'Cuibi No.1'in the Tobacco-Growing Area of Nanping

Abstract
This study aimed to explore the effects of combined application of slow and controlled-release fertilizers on the growth,development,and quality of the flue-cured tobacco variety'Cuibi No.1'in the tobacco-growing area of Nanping.Field experiments were conducted with three fertilizer formulas(T1:NPK ratio of 7∶8∶20;T2:10∶10∶20;T3:10∶10∶30),and the conventional fertilizer was taken as the control(CK).The impacts of different formulas on the agronomic traits,dry matter accumulation,and absorption and accumulation of nitrogen and potassium,as well as the physical properties,chemical components,sensory quality,and economic traits of the cured tobacco leaves,were systematically analyzed.The results showed that the combined application of slow and controlled-release fertilizers had no significant impact on the agronomic traits,but significantly increased dry matter accumulation.Particularly,the root and leaf dry weights of T3 were significantly higher than those of other treatments.The combined application of slow and controlled-release fertilizers promoted the absorption and accumulation of nitrogen and potassium by tobacco plants,with T3 demonstrating the best performance.Furthermore,the physical properties and appearance quality of the cured tobacco leaves were improved,and the coordination of chemical components was also enhanced.The sensory scores for smoking quality of T1 and T2 were the highest,while T3 performed the best in economic traits,with the output value,average price,and proportion of high-grade tobacco significantly higher than those of other treatments.In conclusion,the one-time basal application of slow and controlled-release fertilizers has significant application potential in the tobacco-growing area of Nanping,and T1 is more conducive to the yield and quality improvement.关键词
