Abstract
Objective To study the endoscopic and pathological features of reexamination of gastroscopy in middle-aged and elderly patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases, and to explore its clinical significance. Methods The clinical data of 93 middle-aged and elderly patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases who underwent reexamination of gastroscopy in Zibo Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June 2022 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. The detection rates of each disease under gastroscopy at the first and reexamination of patients were counted and compared,as well as the detec-tion rates of each disease in patients with different genders and different Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection. Results Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric polyps and chronic atrophic gastritis were the main diseases detected by gastroscopy in 93 middle-aged and elderly patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases. The detection rates of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer and Hp positive rate in the reexamination were lower than those in the first examination, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The detection rate of duodenal ulcer in male patients was higher than that in female pa-tients in the first examination, and the detection rates of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric polyps and chronic atrophic gastritis in Hp positive patients were higher than those in Hp negative patients in the first examination, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The detection rates of duodenal ulcer and chronic atrophic gastritis in male patients were higher than those in female patients in the reexamination, and the detection rates of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric polyps and chronic atrophic gastritis in Hp positive patients were higher than those in Hp negative patients in the reexamination, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric polyps and chronic atrophic are the main diseases of upper gastrointestinal tract in middle-aged and elderly patients. The occurrence of upper gastrointestinal diseases is closely related to Hp infection, and the incidence of male is higher than that of female.Reexamination of gastroscopy can evaluate the changes of the patient's condition.Hp positive patients and male patients with upper gastrointestinal disease should be reexamined regularly to reduce the risk of gastric cancer.关键词
