Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of cloud courses combined with case-based learning(CBL)in the teaching of respiratory diseases.Methods A total of 90 postgraduate students who took the course of Respiratory and Criti-cal Care Medicine at the PLA Medical College from February to June 2024 were selected as the research subjects and they were divided into the cloud course-CBL group(45 students)and the traditional teaching group(45 students)according to the random number table method.The cloud course-CBL group adopted the teaching method of cloud course combined with CBL,while the traditional teaching group adopted the teaching method of traditional teaching combined with CBL.After the teaching,the assessment scores,clinical thinking abilities and evaluations of the teaching mode of the two groups were compared.Results In the assessment scores of the cloud course-CBL group,both the theoretical examination scores and the practical skills assessment scores were higher than those of the traditional teaching group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of collecting medical history,preliminary diagnosis,final diagnosis and treat-ment plan in the clinical thinking of the cloud course-CBL group were all higher than those of the traditional teaching group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The evaluations of the cloud course-CBL group in clinical think-ing ability,stimulating learning interest,teacher-student interaction ability,humanistic care ability,work adaptability and teamwork ability were higher than those of the traditional teaching group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Cloud courses combined with CBL can improve the teaching level of respiratory diseases,stimulate students' subjective initiative,and has received good feed-back and evaluation.
