Abstract
Objective To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma in the treatment of ocular surface burns.Methods Electronic databases,including PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Wanfang,CNKI,and VIP,were searched from their inception to May 2024.Randomized controlled trials comparing platelet-rich plasma combined with medication versus medication alone for ocular surface burns were collected.Data extraction and quality assessment were independently performed by two reviewers following Cochrane systematic review guidelines.meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.4 software.Results Six studies involving 329 patients(367 eyes)were included:the control group(drug treatment group,170 patients,189 eyes)and the experimental group(platelet-rich plasma+medication,159 patients,178 eyes).It was shown that the experimental group exhibited a significantly shorter healing time(MD=-5.00,95％CI:-5.66--4.37,P＜0.05),a lower complication rate(OR=0.18,95％CI:0.08-0.41,P＜0.05),and a higher cure rate(OR=3.58,95％CI:1.68-7.66)compared to the control group,with all differences being statistically significant(P＜0.05).However,no significant difference in visual acuity recovery was observed between the two groups(MD=0.02,95％CI:-0.10-0.14).Conclusion Platelet-rich plasma combined with medication is superior to medication alone in treating ocular surface burns.关键词
