Research progress on synthesis and metabolism of guanidinoacetic acid and its application in ruminant production
摘要
Abstract
Guanidinoacetic acid(GAA)as the only precursor substance for the synthesis of animal creatine,is converted from glycine and arginine in animal kidneys and livers.Due to its excellent stability and bioavailability,GAA is gradually replacing creatine as an additive in animal feed,and has been widely used worldwide,creating significant economic benefits for the breeding industry.In the production of ruminants,GAA is mainly used as an exogenous nutritional feed additive.This paper reviewed the synthesis and metabolism pathway,physiological function and application of GAA in ruminants production,so as to provide a reference for further research and application of GAA in ruminants production practice.关键词
