Advances in nutritional intervention strategies for canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome in elderly dogs
摘要
Abstract
Cognitive dysfunction syndrome(CDS)is a common neurodegenerative disorder observed in elderly dogs,characterized by impairments in spatial orientation,increased anxiety,changes in social interaction,and disruptions in the sleep-wake cycle.Given the complex pathogenesis of CDS,nutritional intervention has emerged as a multi-target,low-risk management strategy.Its core mechanisms include providing alternative energy sources,regulating neurotransmitter balance,mitigating oxidative stress,and suppressing neuroinflammation.This paper reviews the pathogenesis,clinical manifestations,nutritional intervention strategies,and potential future challenges associated with CDS in elderly dogs,aiming to provide references for improving their quality of life and health management.关键词
