Abstract

Taking maize and soybean crops in Anyang City,a typical area of Henan Province,as the research object,this study analyzed the impact of water and heat changes on yield during the initial growth period(S1),rapid development period(S2),middle growth period(S3),and maturity period(S4)of maize and soybean in the summer of 2002-2014.The results showed that the water demand of maize and soybean showed a trend of low-high-low as the growth period progressed.The growth stages of S1 and S3 were both in a state of water deficit,with the water deficit index of maize at-0.45 and-1.45,and soybean at-0.11 and-0.16,respectively.In the S1 stage,the duration of high temperature in maize and soybean showed a gradual backward trend,and soybean showed a more significant backward trend.In the S2 stage,the accumulated high temperature was significantly higher than in other growth stages,with maize and soybean reaching 32.9 d·℃ and 70.3d·℃,respectively.The coefficient of variation of soybean yield(22.1%)was higher than that of maize(6.5%).The coefficient of variation of maize yield among regions was highest in Linzhou City in the western hilly area,and the coefficient of variation of soybean crop yield was highest in Huangxian County in the eastern plain area.The meteorological yield of maize was 0.019 kg/hm2,while that of soybean was-0.204 kg/hm2,indicating that meteorological factors had a negative effect on the formation of soybean yield in some years.In the classification of yield year types,the maize yield demonstrated production levels comparable to those observed in typical crop years,and there were 1-3 years of poor soybean harvest.In multiple linear regression analysis,the regression coefficients of high temperature accumulated temperature and water demand of maize and soybean were all negative.There was a significant spatiotemporal heterogeneity in the changes of meteorological water and heat factors during the growth period of summer maize and soybean in typical area of Henan Province.Especially under the background of climate change,the high temperature weather in the early stage of growth tended to shift towards the middle and later stages,increasing the risk of high temperature stress in crops.However,the high sensitivity of soybean crop to water and heat leaded to a significant change in annual yield,even a reduction in yield.Therefore,in the process of technology promotion,it was necessary to combine with the regional environment,adopt measures such as adjusting the sowing date,selecting varieties that were relatively close to the growth period with high temperature tolerance,and strengthening field management during the critical period of crop growth to regulate the allocation of water and heat resources,timely and reasonable irrigation,in order to achieve the goal of stable production and increased efficiency.
