摘要

Abstract

The high frequency monitoring method(HFMM)can effectively capture rapid variation information of water quality(WQ)parameters at hourly time scale.To provide substantial information of WQ changes at Lake Qiandao in recent years,the diurnal and seasonal variations of dissolved oxygen(DO)were analyzed using high-frequency WQ data,hydrological and meteorological conditions monitored at the central lake for December 2015 to November 2019.Random Forest(RF)and correlation analysis(CA)methods were used to identify the main factors of DO variations.The results showed that there was obvious diurnal variation of surface DO in each season.DO varied sinusoidally with peak values observed at 6:00 PM and trough values recorded at 9:00 AM in autumn and winter.The diurnal variation of DO followed an opposite pattern in spring and summer compared to autumn and winter.Water temperature(WT),chlorophyll a(Chl-a),atmospheric reoxygenation rate(F),turbidity(TURB),phycocyanin(PC)and fluorescent dissolved organic matter(FDOM)were the key factors influence the DO diurnal variations.Except for Chl-a and PC,all the other parameters were negatively correlated with DO.According to the analysis on daily data of DO and other environmental factors for 2015-2019,the contribution rates to DO variation ranked as WT(31.6%)>Chl-a(15.8%)>FDOM(9.9%)>TURB(9.3%)>PC(8.4%)>F(7.8%).However,the contribution rates of the above factors were different at different seasons.The factors with the maximum contribution in spring,summer,autumn and winter were FDOM(30.9%),PC(25.4%),Chl-a(20.5%)and F(28.8%)respectively.The seasonal mean value of DO followed a pattern of"spring(9.9 mg·L-1)>winter(9.8 mg·L-1)>summer(8.6 mg·L-1)>autumn(8.4 mg·L-1)"during 2015-2019.The successful application of RF method to analysis of high frequency monitoring data in this paper could provide experience for other similar studies about environmental data mining.The conclusions in this paper will provide strong and scientific support for better environmental management at Lake Qiandao.
