Abstract

In response to the issue of high particulate matter concentration in the purified flue gas of a 2.8 Mt/a catalytic cracking unit in a petrochemical enterprise,a systematic investigation was conducted on the operation status of the dust removal and water washing equipment in the flue gas desulfurization tower,the catalyst content and salt composition in the particulate matter.The main reason was determined to be the formation of submicron level SO3/H2SO4 acid mist aerosol in the flue gas after the wet desulfurization system,which resulted in the exhaust particulate matter concentration exceeding the limit(>50 mg/m3)and accompanied by blue/yellow smoke tailing phenomenon.By using a combination process of sulfur transfer agent,dry alkali injection system,and EDV5000 system,the comprehensive removal rate of SO3 is achieved at 90%to 97%,and the average particle concentration at the final outlet is reduced to mg/m3,with significant elimination of blue smoke tailing phenomenon.The research results provide an effective technical path for ultra-low emission control of flue gas in catalytic cracking units.
