Abstract
Our understanding of Ferdinand Tönnies'concepts of Wesenwille and Kürwille determines our understanding of community and society and their relationship,unfortunately,we don't understand them well enough and even have some misunderstandings.The so-called Wesenwille and Kürwille are not two wills,but two combinations and modes of action of will.Instead of making a static division of Wesenwille and Kürwille empirically,Tönnies analyzes the occurrence,development,and composition of Wesenwille and Kürwille and the succession relationship between them from transcendental standpoint,thus revealing that the development from Wesenwille to Kürwille and from community to society must be a process of historical development in which rational thinking is constantly strengthened.关键词
