The Critique of Generative Artificial Intelligence:A Simontonian AI Possibility
摘要
Abstract
Philosophical reflection on generative AI is an important theoretical task in the current era.It can be concluded by deconstructing Dreyfus's critique of AI that generative AI is likely to be the only way out for the development of AI.In addition to traditional symbolist AI,both connectionist and behaviourist agendas are moving towards generative AI.This generative AI is not positively articulated in the Heideggerian thought on which Dreyfus relies.Instead,the evolutionist examination of reason as well as technology from Bergson to Simondon onwards can lay the philosophical foundations for generative AI and reveal its future direction.In particular,Simondon's theory of technological evolution would provide a direct theoretical underpinning for a Simondonian AI as generative AI.And a clean-up of its foundations will shed light on the possibilities and boundaries of generative AI.关键词
