The Impact and Mechanisms of Land Transfer and Farmer's Income Increase

Abstract
Exploring the impact and mechanism of land transfer on farmers' household income is of great sig-nificance in providing empirical evidence for adjusting policies related to land transfer and increasing farmers' in-come.Based on the Comprehensive Survey of Rural Revitalization in China data,this study empirically analyzes the impact and mechanism of land transfer on farmers' income growth.Research has found that land transfer can signifi-cantly increase the household income for farmers.There is significant heterogeneity in the income-increasing effects of land transfer among different types of land transfer,differences in the scale of farmer operations,and different re-gions.Land transfer significantly affects the income increase of farmers through 3 mechanisms:moderate scale of land,optimized allocation of labor resources,and farmers' credit levels.The proportion of mediating effects in the total impact is ranked from high to low as follows:the mechanism for improving farmers' credit levels,the mecha-nism for moderate scale of land,and the mechanism for optimizing the allocation of labor resources.Based on the research results,policy recommendations are proposed to strengthen the financial effects of land transfer,broaden the income channels for farmers,and improve the agricultural machinery service system.关键词
