Abstract
The western region of Guilin is the primary concentrated distribution area of domestic bauxite,serving as a crucial region for research on bauxite metallogenic mechanisms.Based on a systematic synthesis of geological characteristics,mineralogical composition,and chemical constituents,the accumulated bauxite deposits in this region are predominantly hosted within the karst terrain of Cenozoic basins,characterized by shallow burial.The metallogenic epoch corresponds to the Cenozoic era,with the mineralization process encompassing three distinct stages:weathering and denudation of the source bed,formation of primary ore deposits,and subsequent lateritic weathering,leaching,and secondary accumulation.A metallogenic model for the accumulated bauxite deposits in the western Guangxi region has been established,with prospecting indicators systematically proposed,thereby providing a scientific foundation for the exploration and development of regional accumulated bauxite resources.关键词
