Influence of Urban Ground Cover Plant Landscape in Green Spaces on Public Health
摘要
Abstract
[Objective]To make an in-depth analysis of the association between the type of ground cover plant communities and the indicators for public health,so as to provide a scientific basis for urban green space planning and thus to improve the life quality of the public.[Method]Twenty-two representative samples of ground cover plant communities,including self-generated,semi-natural,and artificial types,as well as one control sample,are selected as stimulus materials.The physiological indicators,including blood pressure,oxygen saturation,pulse rate,electroencephalogram,and eye-tracking,of the subjects are measured using instruments such as blood pressure monitors,electroencephalographs,and eye trackers,and their psychological states are assessed using psychological scales such as the Perceived Stress Scale,State Anxiety Scale,and semantic differential method,to explore the influence of ground cover plant landscape in urban green spaces on the public health.[Result]1)Ground cover plant landscapes have significant benefits on public physical and psychological health restoration.When exposed to plant landscapes,the subjects have significantly decreased systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate(P<0.05),and the indicators of interest,excitement,concentration and the number of eye blinks are better than those of the control group.The perceptual stress and state anxiety are significantly alleviated(P<0.05);and 2)The effects of different types of plant landscapes vary:the communities with natural succession have the advantages in the interest and excitement indicators and have the lowest average number of eye blinks.SD scores emphasize their aesthetics and diversity,and the number of eye blinks is negatively correlated with aesthetics.Artificial plant communities have the highest concentration and strong sense of order but their aesthetic scores are low.[Conclusion]Urban green space planning and plant landscape design should take into account the needs of public health and psychological preferences,and propose differentiated configuration models,in which natural characteristics are maintained with natural communities in ecological protection zones,semi-natural communities are moderately artificially interfered with in community green spaces,and artificial plant communities are carefully planned in urban plazas.关键词
