积极老龄化背景下非农就业对农村中老年人健康的影响研究
Study on the Impact of Non-Agricultural Employment on the Health of Rural Middle-Aged and Older Adults in the Context of Active Aging Based on The Empirical Evidence from CHARLS

Abstract
Objective To study the impact of non-agricultural employment on the health of rural middle-aged and elderly peo-ple in the context of active aging,and comprehensively promote the rural revitalization strategy.Methods Based on the panel data of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study from 2013 to 2018,a two-way fixed effects model was used to analyze the im-pact of non-agricultural employment on the health of middle-aged and elderly people in rural areas.Results Non-agricultural employment significantly promoted the physiological health(α=-0.162,P＜0.01)and psychological health(α=-0.597,P＜0.01)of middle-aged and elderly people in rural areas.Heterogeneity analysis indicated that there were individual differences in the impact of non-agricultural employment on the health of middle-aged and elderly people in rural areas.Specifically,non-ag-ricultural employment had a more significantly promoting effect on the health of middle-aged and younger elderly people.At the marital level,non-agricultural employment had a greater promoting effect on the mental health of rural middle-aged and elderly people who were married but did not live together or had no spouse.In addition,it also had a significant promoting effect on the health of rural middle-aged and elderly people with less life pressure and better financial conditions.Conclusion It is suggested to continue to improve non-agricultural employment policies,establish a sound legal system for non-agricultural employment,pay at-tention to the employment needs of middle-aged and elderly people in rural areas,strengthen skill training for this group,and en-courage younger elderly people in rural areas with good financial conditions and strong work willingness to re-enter the workforce.关键词
