Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of the combination of linezolid and meropenem on inflammatory factors and blood gas indicators in elderly patients with severe bacterial pneumonia.Methods One hundred elderly patients with severe bacterial pneumonia who were treated in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of General Hospital of Xuzhou Mining Group from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with meropenem,while the observation group was treated with the combination of linezolid and meropenem.The clinical efficacy,inflammatory factors,blood gas indicators and prognosis levels of the two groups of patients were compared.Results The total effective rates of the observation group and the control group were 96.00%and 82.00%respectively.The effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of white blood cell count(WBC),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8)and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide(PaCO2)in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,while the partial pressure of arterial oxygen(PaO2),arterial oxygen saturation(SaO2),and oxygenation index(OI)were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the clinical pulmonary infection score(CPIS)of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of linezolid and meropenem has a significant effect on elderly patients with severe bacterial pneumonia.It can not only improve its efficacy,reduce inflammatory factors,but also improve the patient's blood gas indicators and promote an increase in their prognosis.关键词
