摘要

Abstract

Objective To report the prevalence rate of various inner ear malformations and characteristics of asymmetric malformations based on high-resolution temporal bone CT data from 1,823 cases.Methods High-resolution temporal bone CT scans from 1823 patients diagnosed with inner ear malformations from June 2014 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.Inner ear structures were classified using the 2017 Sennaroglu classification,and the prevalence rate of various malformations were analyzed,focusing on characteristics of asymmetry.Results Of the 1823 cases(3487 malformed ears),incomplete partition type Ⅱ(IP-Ⅱ)was the most common(62.95%,2195/3487).Other malformations included vestibule/semicircular canal/internal auditory canal malformations(7.31%),enlarged vestibular aqueduct(EVA,6.34%),IP-Ⅰ(6.05%),and sporadically CLA,RO,CH-Ⅰ and CH-Ⅱ(all<1%).Malformation was symmetrical bilaterally in 85.08%,asymmetrical in 6.20%,and unilateral in 8.72%of the cases.Across malformations,the rate of bilateral symmetry was 100%in IP-Ⅲ,97.75%in IP-Ⅱ,13.64%in CH-Ⅱ and 4.35%in RO.Cochlear aperture abnormalities were most likely to appear as unilateral malformation(56.36%).Conclusion This study provides information on inner ear malformations.Asymmetric malformations are not uncommon and show significant differences across different malformations.
