摘要

Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels with body composition,blood lipids,and metabolic indicators in overweight or obese adults,and to analyze gender differences.Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted,involving 553 overweight or obese adults(261 males and 292 females)who visited the Clinical Nutrition Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from December 2020 to December 2023.Body composition was analyzed using bioelectrical impedance analysis,and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D and biochemical indicators were measured.Comparisons were made between overweight or obese male and female adults regarding body composition,biochemical indicators,and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels.Correlation analysis was performed to assess the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and body composition and biochemical indicators.Results Overweight or obese males had higher values than females in body weight,fat-free mass index,skeletal muscle index,25-hydroxyvitamin D,uric acid,fasting blood glucose,alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,triglycerides,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,glycated hemoglobin,total body water mass,total protein mass,mineral mass,lean body mass,fat-free mass,skeletal muscle mass,right arm fat percentage,left arm fat percentage,trunk fat percentage,right leg fat percentage,left leg fat percentage,InBody score,body cell mass,bone mineral content,LDL-C/HDL-C,TC/HDL-C,and TG/HDL-C(all P<0.05).Females had higher values than males in body fat mass,fat mass index,body fat percentage,and visceral fat area(all P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the rates of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D insufficiency and deficiency between females and males(65.13%vs.76.03%,P>0.05).Correlation analysis showed that in overweight or obese males,serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels were positively correlated with InBody score and glycated hemoglobin(all P<0.05),and negatively correlated with body weight,weight excess ratio,BMI,obesity degree,fat-free mass index,fat mass index,skeletal muscle index,total body water mass,total protein mass,mineral mass,body fat mass,lean body mass,fat-free mass,skeletal muscle mass,body fat percentage,right arm fat percentage,left arm fat percentage,trunk fat percentage,right leg fat percentage,visceral fat area,body cell mass,bone mineral content,LDL-C/HDL-C and TC/HDL-C(all P<0.05).In overweight or obese females,serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels were positively correlated with age(P<0.05),while negatively correlated with weight excess ratio,BMI,obesity degree,fat mass index,triglycerides,body fat percentage,right arm fat percentage,left arm fat percentage,trunk fat percentage,right leg fat percentage,left leg fat percentage,and visceral fat area(all P<0.05).Conclusion Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level is closely related to body composition,blood lipids,and metabolic indicators in overweight or obese adults,with no significant gender differences.It plays an important role in regulating body weight,fat distribution,blood lipids,and overall health.Clinical attention should be paid to the monitoring and intervention of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels,especially in overweight or obese females.
