Abstract
As a demonstration area for learning the experience of rural construction in counties in southern Anhui,Wuhu Taoxinxu Rural Improvement Experimental Area has a general office to directly lead the improvement,and the staff and construction funds are jointly appointed and undertaken by the Provincial Second People's Education Museum and the Second Commissioner's Office.After the establishment of the experimental area,the staff initiated various programs in political,economic,social,and cultural aspects,including citizen training,improvement of the Baojia system,economic surveys,improvement of agricultural techniques,establishment of economic cooperation or-ganizations,eradication of illiteracy,and promotion of sports and health.These efforts achieved certain results,en-hancing local people's political awareness,helping farmers address the issue of borer pests,and reducing the illiter-acy rate in the experimental area.However,due to severe funding shortages for the construction of the experimental area,the work had to be simplified,and the rural development movement did not fundamentally improve the diffi-cult living conditions of the local farmers.关键词
