From"Mind-Body Separation"to"Embodied Practice"

Abstract
Volunteer service is a significant indicator of social civilization and progress,as well as a vivid practice in the new era through which the party guides and mobilizes the public to contribute wis-dom and strength,create a better life,and achieve collective goals.Using a self-designed questionnaire on college students' engagement in volunteer service,this study surveyed 560 students from N Universi-ty.The findings reveal that:the overall mind-body engagement of college students in volunteer service is relatively positive,but inconsistencies exist among cognition,emotion,and behavior;gender differ-ences in engagement are evident,with female students scoring higher than males;academic perform-ance,leadership roles,and scholarship awards positively yet insignificantly influence volunteer service engagement;institutional factors exert the most substantial impact.From the perspective of mind-body holism,the study analyzes the causes of these phenomena based on college students' group characteris-tics,educational environments,and societal influences.It proposes a transformative path for college students' volunteer service engagement,shifting from"mind-body separation"to"embodied practice.".关键词
