Abstract

Objective To investigate the magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging technique on the glial lymphatic system and rehabilitation effect of newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.Methods Forty-eight newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy treated in Xuzhou Children's Hospital from January 2016 to December 2023 were taken as the observation group,and 48 healthy newborns with physical examination in the same period were selected as the control group.The parameters FA,RA,MD and cerebral blood flow of neonatal basal ganglia were compared between the two groups before rehabilitation treatment,and FA,RA,MD and cerebral blood flow of neonatal basal ganglia in the observation group were compared before rehabilitation treatment and 2 months after rehabilitation treatment.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve of FA,RA,MD and cerebral blood flow for diagnosis and evaluation of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy was plotted,and area under the curve(AUC)was calculated.Results Before rehabilitation treatment,the FA((0.36±0.06)×10-3 mm2/s),RA((0.40±0.07)×10-3 mm2/s),MD((1.20±0.04)×10-6 mm2/s)values in the observation group were lower than those of the control group((0.58±0.08)×10-3 mm2/s,(0.52±0.09)×10-3 mm2/s,(1.27±0.06)×10-6 mm2/s,respectively),cerebral blood flow((924.38±86.43)mL/min)in the observation group was higher than that of the control((587.20±64.12)mL/min),the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05).In the observation group,the FA,RA,MD values before rehabilitation treatment were lower than those 2 months after rehabilitation treatment((0.45±0.07)×10-3 mm2/s,(0.47±0.08)×10-3 mm2/s,(1.24±0.05)×10-6 mm2/s,respectively),the cerebral blood flow was higher than that after 2 months of rehabilitation treatment((796.24±69.56)mL/min),the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05).The AUC value of FA,RA,MD,cerebral blood flow for diagnosis and evaluation of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy was 0.900 6,0.851 4,0.831 0,and 0.860 7,respectively.Conclusion Magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging technology can be used to evaluate the damaged glial lymphatic system and rehabilitation treatment effect of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.
