Place Reconstruction and Revitalizationof Historical Sites:The Practice of Space Activation in Old Factory Buildings in Huai'an
摘要
Abstract
In the context of promoting urban renewal and the protection of historical culture in a coordinated manner,the project focuses on the old factory buildings on the north side of the Dutian Temple historical district in Huai'an City.It explores strategies for revitalizing the architectural space of the factory buildings,aiming to achieve an organic integration of historical context inheritance and modern urban development through functional transformation and spatial reconstruction.The project seeks to tackle the challenges posed by underutilized and deteriorating traditional industrial buildings,as well as the erosion of their historical and cultural significance.It proposes a revitalization approach centered on the principle of"restoring the old to its original state,"guided by the concept of stock renewal,thereby facilitating the transformation and enhancement of these old factory buildings into urban public art spaces.关键词
