Abstract
The paper explores the practical challenges associated with reconstruction initiatives for suspended or delayed construction projects in the context of urban renewal,utilizing the central teaching area of a university in Shenyang as a case study.It introduces a design management approach that seeks to harmonize building quality and safety with project costs and durations.Through a systematic analysis of the technical challenges encountered in reconstruction projects such as the relevance of design standards,degradation of structural performance,prevention of water leakage,and the compatibility update of electromechanical systems the research identifies five critical technical management considerations for long-term suspended construction projects.This culminates in a design management strategy of practical significance.The findings of this research offer a methodological framework for the sustainable regeneration of suspended or delayed construction projects in context of the"urban renewal"and hold demonstrative value for enhancing the utilization of existing spatial resources.关键词
