Xiong'an New Area Relies on Beijing's Innovative Resources to Promote the Development of High-end and High-tech Industries

Abstract
[Research purpose]Xiong'an New Area is one of the"two wings"of Beijing's new development strategy and serves as the primary hub for relocating Beijing's non-capital functions.By delving into the collaborative relationship between Xiong'an New Area and Beijing,the new area can leverage Beijing's high-quality innovation resources to gain valuable insights for advancing its high-end and high-tech industries.[Research method]Taking Beijing and Xiong'an New Area as the primary research subjects,this study employs the theoretical framework of core city-hinterland interaction to conduct an in-depth investigation into the status quo and challenges of high-end and high-tech industrial development in Xiong'an.By drawing comparative lessons from successful regional models—including the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta,the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Scientific and Technological Innovation Corridor,the East London Technology City(UK),and Tsukuba Science City(Japan)—this research systematically analyzes their experiences in fostering coordinated development of advanced industries.Building upon these insights,the paper proposes actionable policy recommendations tailored to Xiongan's context.[Research conclusion]Currently,Xiong'an New Area faces multiple challenges including insufficient talent reserves,incomplete industrial supporting systems,inadequate quantity and quality of public service facilities,deficiencies in innovation infrastructure and capabilities,and the absence of a well-established commercialization mechanism of scientific and technological achievements.To address these issues,Xiong'an should formulate specialized plans for technological innovation and industrial coordination.The area needs to establish resource-sharing mechanisms with Beijing's high-quality innovation resources,with a focus on integrating industrial and innovation chains.This approach will facilitate effective Beijing-Xiong'an interaction,enhance talent quality,optimize the innovation ecosystem,and ultimately promoting the development of high-end and high-tech industrial clusters in Xiong'an.Such developments will enable the successful translation of Beijing's scientific and technological achievements into practical applications in Xiong'an.关键词
