Sixth-Order Compact Exponential Combined Difference Schemes for the Convection-Diffusion Equation
摘要
Abstract
Based on the Taylor series expansions,two sixth-order compact exponential combined difference schemes are constructed for solving the one-dimensional steady convection-diffusion equation using the method of undetermined coefficients and the fourth-order Padé formula.This paper discusses the properties of the two proposed difference schemes and compares their dispersion errors and dissipation errors with those of existing schemes in the literature.By selecting typical numeral examples,the high precision and non-oscillatory charac-teristics of the two sixth-order compact exponential combined difference schemes are verified.These newly developed difference schemes are particularly suitable for solving convection-dominated problems.关键词
