Applications and Research Progress of N-Heterocyclic Carbene Ligands in Alcohol-Alcohol Coupling Reactions
摘要
Abstract
As a significant class of ligands,N-heterocyclic carbene(NHC)exhibit unique electronic and steric effects,and have demonstrated remarkable catalytic performance in alcohol-alcohol coupling reactions during the recent years.This review summarizes the applications of NHCs in such reactions,focusing on their catalytic efficiency and selectivity control mechanisms in the coupling of primary alcohols with secondary alcohols,sec-ondary alcohols with secondary alcohols,and polyols with primary alcohols.Furthermore,this review outlines recent advances in NHC-catalyzed C—C bond formation in alcohol-alcohol coupling reactions and discusses the reaction mechanisms and substrate applicability,aiming to provide valuable insights into the application of NHCs in alcohol-alcohol coupling,particularly in the fields of green chemistry,biomass conversion,asymmet-ric catalysis,and efficient synthesis.关键词
